Saltline is operated by Saltline LLC. We try to collect as little as possible.
What Saltline does not collect
- We do not require an account, email address, or sign-up.
- We do not collect your name, contact info, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not track which fish you catch, where you fish, or when you fish.
- The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
- We do not share, sell, or rent personal data. We do not collect it in the first place.
Third-party services
Saltline pulls public conditions data from:
- NOAA — tides, water temperature
- Open-Meteo — weather, wind
These services receive an IP address as part of standard internet requests, the same way any website would. Saltline does not include any identifying information in those requests. NOAA and Open-Meteo have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Website analytics
The saltline.ai website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement tool. It gives us aggregate counts of page visits and performance. It does not use cookies, does not store personal identifiers, and does not track you across sites. The app itself contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Purchases
Saltline offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock additional regions. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status using an anonymous identifier — tied to your purchase only, not to your name, email, or any personal identifier, and never used for advertising or tracking.
Requesting deletion of your data
Because Saltline has no accounts and collects no personal information, there is almost nothing to delete. The only data associated with you is an anonymous purchase record held by our payments processor (RevenueCat), tied to a random identifier — not to your name or email.
To request deletion of that purchase record, email support@saltline.ai and include the approximate purchase date and which store you bought through (App Store or Google Play). We will delete the associated record, typically within 30 days. Deleting it may remove your ability to restore the purchase later.
Children
Saltline is rated 4+ for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children, because we do not collect information from anyone.
Changes
If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
